Keys
You will be receiving one set of keys when you
arrive: one for the front (glass) door of the house, the other
for the gate to the walled property. To open the gate, use
the larger of the two keys. You will need the key to get in and
out the gate. There is also a set of keys, intended
for emergency only (such as should you lock yourself out) in a
coded lock box outside, mounted on the door jamb of the front
gate. The code to that lock box will be communicated to
you in your arrival information.
Each of the three downstairs sliding glass doors
can be locked from inside and outside with a key. We
always leave the keys to those doors in the locks, and lock them
when we leave the house. We prefer that the house is always
locked when nobody is present, thinking "better safe than
sorry," even though during 9 years of owning this house we have
never had a security problem of any kind ...
While we are at the topic of keys and locks, allow
us to remind you to please treat the locks, and move the
glass doors, gently!
