Frequently Asked Questions

Linens, Towels and bedding

We provide linen, bedding, and towels for our renters. These items can be found in the wardrobe in the renters' bedroom.  We provide a washer/dryer for easy washing these, as well as your personal items as needed.  There is also a 100-foot long (!) covered clothes line that often dries quicker than the dryer would.  In fact, we have hardly ever used the drying cycle of the W/D unit, because the clothes line is so expedient, even in the rainy season.  We suggest to use the "Rapido 30" cycle of the washer.  It will take only 30 minutes for one load, use less water and power, spin at lower/safer rpm (400 rpm), and wash with luke warm water as opposed to heating the water to high temperature in the machine.  If our supply of detergent runs out, you can purchase more at the "Ribeiro" grocery market.

If you are running out of linen and towels, or need an extra pillow, you may -- with discretion -- as our valued guest/renter retrieve more from our locked bedroom, but we ask for the courtesy to please wash those items, and dry and fold them, and re-place them where you found them, and leave our private belongings in that room untouched.
