Payment Options and Procedures

Two payments are required: the "Deposit" and the rental "Balance," which consists of the sum of (a) rent, (b) cleaning charge, and (c) transient occupancy tax on rent.

The Deposit will hold the reservation until the due date for the Balance payment and will then, after receipt of the Balance payment, become the refundable "Security Deposit."

Payment of the Deposit is only acceptable by credit card via the secure Internet bank "PayPal" (no fee applies to this payment). If the rental date is within 30 days from date of booking, payment of the  Balance is due immediately and can only be made via PayPal, and no fee applies. If the rental date is further out than 30 days, the Balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the rental date and may be paid
     (1) by personal check (U.S. Bank only),
     (2) by transfer from your to our PayPal account, or
     (3) or by credit card via PayPal, in which case a 3% fee co-payment applies. For this option, we will issue an invoice via PayPal, upon which payment can conveniently and utmost securely be completed; no PayPal account is required. We request to be notified in advance if this option is chosen.

Chasing after payments is a time-consuming activity for the owner. We WILL NOT remind of any payment due dates. A late payment fee of $50 will be automatically deducted from the deposit refund for late payment. If payment is not made within 5 days of the due date, the reservation will be canceled and the property will be opened up for other rentals, and the deposit may be forfeited. Reservations may be reinstated, and forfeited money reapplied, upon payment of the amount due, if the property is still available, at the Owner's discretion.

WE ADVISE OUR RENTERS TO PERMIT MAIL COMING FROM THE OWNER IN THEIR SPAM FILTER, AND TO BE AWARE THAT SOME RENTAL-RELATED MAIL FROM THE OWNER MAY INCLUDE PHOTOS AND ATTACHMENTS.
