Ski Resorts -- which, and how far away?

The closest resorts, the family-style Tahoe-Donner Downhill Ski Area and Tahoe-Donner Cross-Country Ski Area, are just down the hill from us -- a 5-minute drive. There is plenty of free parking at these resorts. Tickets are very reasonable compared to the big resorts nearby.
