Wireless Internet

Free of charge to renters. Bella Vista has a high-speed wireless Internet (nominal speeds 50/50 Mbps up/down). Usage is unlimited and unrestricted.

Modem and router are in the garage, on a shelf above the washer and dryer. System name and password are given to you in your rental documentation. If no connection, suggest to unplug modem and router, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. Next suggestion is to re-boot your computer.  If problem persists, call owner.

The house telephone is Internet-based. This can come in handy when you suspect Internet problems: if you can hear a dial tone, the problem is likely with your computer; if there is no dial tone, the Internet is likely the culprit. 

The Internet and telephone systems are on automatic battery back-up, which will bridge over brown-out periods (electricity interruptions) up to about 1-hour duration.  Beyond that, you may have to rely on your own cell phone service for emergency calling -- if still functional during such extreme and unlikely brown-out situations. 

If for some reason the (normally very reliable) Internet system is down at your rental home, and you have an urgent situation that cannot wait, you have an alternative: The Sea Ranch Association provides free Wi-Fi service to Sea Ranch members and their guests and renters at both the Del Mar Center Hall and House, and the Ohlson Ranch House. Please consult the posted information at the facilities to check/verify the current password.
