Alta Vista -- Frequently Asked Questions --

EV Charging

  Our guests may charge their electric vehicle at Alta Vista from our 240V electric dryer outlet,
  provided that they limit the charging power to 20A  (i.e., 5000Watts) to avoid circuit over-loading.
  Bring your own extension cord/adapter fitted with a 4-prong type plug for standard electric dryer outlets (see photo).
  (Note that the ground-prong must be L-shaped; your standard EV plug will NOT work).
 
  While charging, the vehicle must be parked outside the garage, with closed garage door.
  The distance from the garage door to the outlet is about 24 feet. 

  We charge a flat fee of $15 per rental period for this optional service.
